This is probably one of my favorite strategy games of all time. I have been playing this game since Heroes I but I feel out of the whole series of Heroes of Might and Magic games this is by far the best. The graphics and gameplay are timeless and it seems the older it gets the more I appretiate it.
Might heroes are better with big armies than magic heroes. Every point in Attack and Defense is useful for every creature, while too much Spell Power or too much Knowledge can be of limited use. Sometimes you need a simple spell more than very advanced spells, that need much more power and knowledge to be effective.
On first day of week Gelu takes all available Centaurs, Pegasi and Elves (if enough gold) and goes to attack Tormina (on the way flags Sawmill near road), conquers it on day 3-4 (has level 1-5 creature generators built, but no Citadel) and beats any hero who might left town to regain mines (if wanted, could be a tactic to have gelu finish a day
