FACT: the 24-70 GM II is not compatibility with either the 1.4x or the 2x. They are designed with a part of the teleconverter sticking out and the lens must be designed with a "hole" at the back so that part of the teleconverter can fit into the back of the lens. The 24-70 is not designed that way.
